Love Letter To My Capacities

Good morning, my lovelies. This is your Captain speaking—also known as Higher Self, Super Soul, Divine Essence, The Big Cheese. I’ve been watching you, not just lately, but since Genesis when you were no more than wee cells, exponentially dividing and proliferating like dandelions in spring.

Today I come bearing a love letter, to cheer you on, to cheer you up, to remind you of our teamwork.

Let’s begin with you, dear HEAD…ever busy, ever buzzing. Lately, I’ve noticed the storms you’ve stirred - thoughts spinning like leaves in a restless wind, anxieties masquerading as facts. But oh, how I know your other brilliance! Your imagination can reach to galaxies and your attention can narrow to a pinpoint focus. Why squander such superpowers chasing shadows? Come. Let the old alley of dread—with its rats and refuse—remain abandoned. Instead, take up your love of riddles,

puzzles that beg to be solved not feared. Reframe chaos as raw material. Build something elegant from fragments. We love your mental acuity and creativity. Let your skills serve wonder, not worry.

Now, BODY… you serve as our steadfast vessel, worn but wondrous. Though you no longer bend or bound like before, you are like a well-loved home, a sanctuary etched with stories. Yes, the beams creak and the paint chips, but you endure as a well-loved abode. Thank you also for recent kindnesses: lighter foods, mindful movement, pauses and paces for renewal. Your sacrifices are seen. Sure, you miss the sweet treats but what sweetness now arrives in clarity, energy, and adaptability. You carry us into forests and fields with your senses wide open under spacious skies. We’re all grateful for your resilience, your quiet strength.

And you, precious HEART—tender keeper of grief and grace. The last few years you held so much…goodbyes to loved ones who we knew as family and friends; a move to a new community. In all the farewells, you did not break. You held space and made room for renewals. Now, a gentler season is here. Your ache has softened, and your capacity for compassion has deepened. I want you to know that, without you, my art is empty. But with you—ah, with you— every song becomes sacred, sensual, soulful. Together, we craft beauty from breath and soundscape from silence. I also honour your powers of discernment as you intuit beyond the apparent.

There is more I could say to each of you. But for now, it’s time to nourish BODY with something warm, nutritious, and delicious.

I remain grateful for how you each collaborate with me.

I love you.

I need you.

I thank you.
